Chitwan National Park lies at the foot of the Himalayas on the plain known as The Terai. The National Park is nine hundred square kilometres of virgin rainforest, grasslands and lakelands on Nepal’s border with India. This is habitat of the Bengal Tiger (only sometimes seen), the rare Asian Rhino, the ferocious sloth bear, a number of species of deer, the mugger and rare gharial crocodiles, a myriad of beautiful birds and much other wildlife. An elephant-back foray into the park provides an opportunity to study the rhino at very close quarters and our guides give a most useful and interesting insight into all this along with the Tharu people’s interaction with this their shared environment. | INCLUSIONS with PRICE | Jungle Safari (Chitwan), including: Accommodation with Breakfast and Dinner Park Access – (48 Hours) Elephant-backed ‘Rhino Watch’ Safari Guided Jungle Walks Dugout Canoe Safari on Rapti River – crocodile & bird watching Elephant Breeding and Nursery Centre Tharu Village life and Tharu Dance and drumming (Seasonal Jeep Safaris are an optional extra cost) | $US Single Room | $US Double Room | £ UK Single Room | £ UK Double Room | € EU Single Room | € EU Double Room | Temple Tiger Lodge - 2 Nights/3 Days (inside national park) - 3 Nights/4 Days | $US 300 $US 450 | $US 600 $US 900 | £ 196 £ 294 | £ 392 £ 589 | € 216 € 324 | € 432 € 648 | Tiger Camp Lodge) - 2 Nights/3 Days (outside national park) - 3 Nights/4 Days | $US100 $US 150 | $US 200 $US 300 | £ 65 £ 98 | £ 130 £ 196 | € 72 € 108 | € 144 € 216 | We are quoting here in three currencies: US Dollars, £ Sterling and € Euros.
