NEPAL EVEREST HIGH PASSES TREK
Return to Everest Region treks 18 days trek and 4 nights in Kathmandu
Everest High Passes trek offers a more challenging alternative to the traditional trek to Everest Base Camp. There is an ascent of Kalapattar and Gokyo Ri along with crossings of both the Cho La Pass(5,330m) and Renjo la Pass (5,340m). The trek has been carefully planned to ensure there is adequate time for necessary acclimatization. The route starts by following the classic Everest Base Camp trek but, rather than retracing your steps back to Namche, goes over the Cho La pass to enter the quieter Gokyo valley. This valley has a string of glacial lakes and Gokyo Ri peak. We climb this in the morning for some of the best views of the Everest massif. Our last pass is the Renjo La from where we descend into the Thame valley, one of the main trading routes with Tibet. Highlights During our "Everest High Passes" trek that will lead you through the Dudhkoshi river valley, beautiful terraces and rhododendron forests, Sherpa capital (Namche), Monasteries, Everest BC/Kala Pattar, Gokyo Lakes/Gokyo Ri, Cho La & Renjo La Pass & more!
